“Paris Parapluie” was written by British composer Paul Lewis at the end of 2019. Paul Lewis composed his first score for a major British TV drama at the age of twenty, and for five and a half decades has produced an unending stream of orchestral and instrumental TV scores, production library music and concert works, both orchestral and chamber. Particularly fond of Paris and of the harp, he was inspired to write this Parisian-style waltz by a photo of harpist Maia Darme, smiling beneath her umbrella in the Paris rain.
